That was nuts, he came within a freaking inch of dying at 8:03.

Which makes me curious, is that partly the reason race prepped cars have those nets for windows?(Pardon my ignorance)

IIRC It's there as a mock window because extrication would be much easier removing a netting than a window (Fire Perspective) plus the track days I've been to, windows have to be open, don't take my word to it, have someone with more knowledge chime in.

Yep - they want your window open for easy extraction, the net keeps body parts from sticking out during a crash.


It's not the same car being flipped - Mustang has a black hood
