Yup...I was wrong in my earlier statements. I did not bother to dig deeper or wait for more details to emerge before opening my highly opinionated mouth.
The person that did this is a terrorist and must be killed.

well, kinda... at the time you were basing your comments on the claim of responsibility from "Helpers of the global jihad" or whatever it was. That doesn't sound much like a Norwegian neo-**** organization to me.

Yeah, remember that those jihad idiots took responsibility even though it had nothing to do with them.

I don't remember the last terrorist attack that wasn't caused by militant Islamists. I didn't get any information about this from the American media, it was all via Internet from Norwegian sources and BBC. I wouldn't associate BBC with brainwashing, they are pretty good at just reporting and not being too opinionated. Mistakes will happen, but it's good to be aware of what's going on -- I'd rather know earlier and have to guess rather than later and know proven facts.

Stans quote right here pretty much proves Brahs, see how quickly this went from a "terrorist attack" to a "violent extremest" as soon as they found out it wasnt a muslim that did it? Hence, you dont hear about anything called terrorism unless they can attach muslims to it. And yes, BBC and the NYT are both guilty.

In 2010 the EU released a report called
Terrorism Situation and Trend Report 2010
http://www.consilium.europa.eu/uedoc...SAT%202010.pdf

they reported 294 failed, foiled, or successfully executed attacks in europe in 2009 (sounds like alot but it was actually down 1/3 from 2007!)

out of 294 guess how many were perpetrated by "Islamists."

One.

Yep, one out of 294. the overwhelming majority were perpetrated by right wing separatists like this guy, but still the muslim boogieman is the only one we think of when people say terrorism.

read through this too when you get a sec.

Im guilty of jumping to conclusions as well because like everyone else I keep up on current events through local tv/newspapers. I watched a documentary (forget which one) on the role of media in starting this current war we're in and it was pretty sickening to see how much our opinions and thinking can be swayed by the media and the carefully selected words they print.

When someone says terrorist now, most people will immediately think of someone of muslim/islamic background. I dont know about you but growing up i certainly didnt feel that way. Its only happened in the last decade or so. Bad analogy but its almost like Pitbulls in the media. Every attack from a dog immediately gets linked to pits before any precise info is known and even then if its a mutt, its going to get labeled a pit.

considering the amount of modern day attacks attributed to muslim extremists over the past 20 years, you shouldn't feel bad for jumping to conclusions. Kinda funny this guy hates muslims and goes out of his way to remind us homegrown extremists are just as dangerous, and instead of outcasting all muslims like he wanted it reminds people how harming innocent people is being a terrorist. That if you think muslims are dangerous you now know or are reminded whites are just as dangerous too. Like that guy who shot the indians to death after 9/11, totally innocent people ,he was just put to death. I was proud to see that.

Anyone else read that guy got arrested for having a knife the day after? said he felt unsafe? The article also stated most the police in norway don't carry guns. Goddamn, better change that if you can buy assault rifles and what not.
