The more I think about it...

... The more it seems like many of us fine, upstanding BAIC members want to move out of California.

Whether it's outrage and uproar over silly laws and ridiculous bills regarding guns, cars, drugs, or what-have-you, or bellyaching about the authorities and politicians, it seems like are very many unhappy campers here.

So my question is... What's keeping all these begrudging Californians from moving to another state?

I'm not being facetious or trying to pick an argument, I just really want to know why there's so much complaining and so little follow-through, that's all. Please indulge my curiosity.

I would love to move out of the state but I have so much family here as well as a good job. If i lost my job and got a great opportunity out of state, I would think about it.

Fair enough. So my follow up question for everyone is, how unhappy will have to be with your life in CA that you'd be willing to give up your job, your house, your family, etc.? (assuming that one is in the same position as RLLYRCR here)

it would have to get pretty bad, right now I am content unless something crazy comes up where it makes a smooth transition to another state/job/life. If times get more rough and strict here in CA, then it will look more promising to me to move even without a great incentive.

I freaking love California. I have have such a hard time imagining myself living anywhere else. It's also all I know though...

Hopefully I end up moving to Boise soon, but not for reasons of wanting to leave California, but because of an offer I can't refuse.

I love CA, I hate the politics.

That said, there aren't many nice places, outside of Bum**** USA, that haven't been tainted by Libtards and their assbackwards politics.

Maybe FL? Coastal TX? The Carolinas? I need to be near the ocean and I hate snowy winters.

I think the more crucial point to make is that we're... just plain in debt. That is why stricter laws are coming into play.
This doesn't make sense. United States is supposedly the biggest industry on the planet, and yet the United States has the largest deficit...
California (if counting their economy on their own) was somewhere around 10th largest compared to other countries, and yet we have the biggest DEFICIT with all the money we produce?

Is there something I'm missing here? Again, this relates back to the Federal Reserve. It doesn't make sense that the place generating the biggest economies hand in hand generate the biggest debt. Californians must have went nuts in the housing market, got their huge billions, then now we're getting the huge bust of the bubble. So our powerful economy with a huge part of it due to housing prices (ended up being phony housing prices) and all that equity dissipated and now the real wealth is showing (not some asset bubble).
I think it just shows the natural trend at a larger scale. Smaller states do not have huge deficits, but the bigger ones show the trend of the United States Main Street.
Everyone is following the rules, not fudging around (except for people like Madoff);however, the rules have been creating these bubble and bust economies. The government needs to be fixed. We DON'T need bigger government or a more regulating government. We need a smaller government not protecting gamblers. What we need is to let the capitalistic market correct itself (and liquidate all the companies who gambled with the market) instead of being held back with these stimulus packages. Once those safe fixes are in place then business can grow without the risks.

^^ This.

You know, I have to admit I was hopeful for this 'change' I heard so much about. What have I seen? More spending, more pork bills passed, more of the same big gov't machine rolling forward.

I'm really starting to believe the only thing that can save us is revolution. Its painfully obvious our elected officals don't give a ****, nor are they even pretending to.

Good dialogue so far, I like this.

People are making worthy points and keeping things civil. Very good, very good!
