Dont do the crime if you cant do the time.
BS cause the car was parked and not in movement. If I were driving the car and was pulled over, Id have no problem with the ticket. I just feel if your car is parked with the ignition off, you shouldn't be ticketed for stupid stuff like that.

You are lucky you are not in my side of town. They will ticket/tow any car that does not have front plates or current stickers. They said it is because it has to be fully legal to park on the street.

That is a freakin' hefty fine for what you have done to your car.
From what I read in other threads, you can get fined for having a turbo timer. Something about it being illegal to have your car running when your not in it, or maybe it was something else, i dont really remember.

wait, so if i get written up for no front plate, it wont be $10 but $100+?

Why wouldnt it be $10? i just put one on and get signed off. I just had a headlight fix it for $10 a month ago, so why would front plate be any different?

It wont be different, Im guessing the bulk of my ticket is from the smog violation...

My "no front license plate" ticket was $72 I think. I have no idea why it wouldnt be a $10 fix-it ticket since they categorize it as being the same as not having proper registration.

I got no front plate and front window ticket about a month ago on 280 home after work from sf to sj. 10$ and signed off by officer is all they want, but i don't have a plate for the front so i have to order one from the DMV wich takes 6-8 weeks (but they only give you 1 month to fix).
THE SYSTEM IS WACK...

Anything that modifies your car to go faster...unless C.A.R.B approved is "illegal" there are possible exceptions, but majority.

thats the thing, you dont get paperwork till you get a letter in the mail telling you to go to DMV to pick up the new plates

well I dont know if its true or not, but someone on nasioc claimed that a cop threatened to give him a ticket for a debadged trunk. Saying thats how the police identify suspect cars. Its either a BS story or a BS cop.
