Did you get it signed off before you paid for it?

I changed my exhaust after getting one of those, went and got it signed off. Then went to the court house to pay the 10 dollars. They said, this isnt a fix it ticket, it's an incorrectable violation. You just pay the fine of 124 dollars. Then it stays on record for 7 years. the next time it doubles, then doubles again...then I guess they impound your car after that. So ya its not a fix it ticket. The cop told me it was, I ended up buying quieter exhaust and then paying the fine, it was some bull ****.

Thats not bad compared to what I got. No front plates and tint on the front windows (which were fixits) I also got a smog violation ticket for my BOV and accessport which he thought was a turbo timer. Grand total of $523!!!!

Even if the Accessport is a Turbo Timer, what would that matter?

That is a freakin' hefty fine for what you have done to your car.

Got one yesterday on 101 just past the SF Airport,VC21750(A) modified muffler. The officer told me it was correctable but he did not check the box yes or no so will this be a problem?

The jerk also told me that if he knew more about racing he would make me pop the hood and look for mods and depending on what he found he could have my car crushed? Is there any truth to that BS!

IDK about that. They might not have it enforced right now, but So Cal has already started crushing cars. Although the cars that have already been crushed were caught and impounded at street races. And as most of us know, whatever happens in So Cal migrates up north

OP, have you found out anything?? What does the ticket/paperwork that says you owe $120+ say on it? Any other codes? I can run it by my dad and see if he knows anything
