Mismatched hoods... Uber cool or colorblind?

I didn't check to see if this had been addressed in this forum already but, I have to know. What the hell is the point of driving around with a hood that is a completely different color than the rest of your car? It's cool because it gives me a good laugh (damn near every day) but seriously, the insanity needs to stop.

If I was going to go with lightweight parts to paint, I'd just get fiberglass because it's lighter... Carbon Fiber is all about teh bLing0rz...

if i had CF parts on my car i wouldnt paint them... then again i think it would look fine on a black car like mine... if i had a white car, i would prolly paint it, but thats jus me

I dont mind too much how it looks but in the end would paint it. But if i have CF exterior parts i wouldnt feel stupid rockin it around town until i got time to take it to get painted.

I bought a cf hood for my integra when some ****tard ruined the stocker backing into me. I never got to put it on though...the top of my wastegate was sitting too high and would have made a nice crack in it. =(

I would never have bought it if I hadnt gotten the insurance money. I cant see spending $400-500 of my money for a non-performance part.
