might shut down marina autox?

I heard there's a meeting tonight if Marina will keep doing the autox. All the representatives from all the clubs are going to the meeting. Anyone going to it? Hopefully they don't shut it down, its the only fun thing to do in Marina...

I hope not. We're running out of locations! Plus, I love the surface at Marina.

I doubt it. What else do they do out there other than skydiving? And go karts? (Just noticed the go kart track.)

As some of you have heard/read, there was a City Council meeting tonight in Marina regarding the future use of the site. Myself, Glen, Megan, Ben M., Dave H, and Heyward went down to attend and represent SFR and AAS. Right off the bat, the Mayor let us know they love us and our values, how important we are to the community, and that they want to get everything moving asap for the auto-x community. To that extent they're getting an extension on the 2012 use contract that will last until the 2013 one gets sorted out.

tl;dr Don't worry, Marina's Council is awesome.

So cal is screwed on this part. We dont have a 1/4 mile to run you have to go to bakersfield. Road racing; button willow, willow springs. Ralley cross you are going to go far

Marina is low key and relaxed. Only decent place left when santa cruz and monterey are so elbow to ******* on the weekends. I miss marina.

Correct!

They dont have their 1/4 mile anymore (the one on the indian land), but if you want some other stuff to do, its hopeless.

And they wonder why there is street racing and canyon running.

it could be worse, it could be hawaii

I'm glad Marina is chill about keeping AutoX going. It's an awesome site and I run there 10 times a year at least.
