big +1 on all of this. That is a huge reason why I stopped going to church. I still have my faith and trust in God just not in most churches.

You're a braver man than I. God bless.

Thumbs up

That's awesome! I am a teacher here in the Bay Area and I travel every summer to volunteer/teach in other countries....Mexico, India, Costa Rica, and now Africa. It's definitely a very humbling experience every time I go. Good Luck and God Bless!!

funny thing is.. the book of James teaches to use your faith through works.. not through your mouth.. and if all Christians followed this.. Christians wouldn't have such a bad reputation.

I agree, St. Francis of Assisi said it best, "if you ought to use words." Faith without works is dead.

he also said:

"Preach the Gospel Always and When Necessary Use Words"

how true it is.. not to hate on my people but, Christians seem to more often than not, have bigger mouths than actions.... if any action or "works" at all. going to church and dropping 10 bucks in the offering is not an action.

Growing up Mormon I have an extreme dislike for going on a "mission". There is plenty of help needed in this country for the people that live in your general area. You should help your neihbor before you help someone on the other side of the world.

I understand you have a firm belief and I repect you for that. But can't you learn about the bible in the US and help people here while spreading your message?

Why do you need to go to Austrailia and Africa? Other than they sound like fun places to go visit.

If more people helped out where they live or they are from I think this would have a greater world impact than people fyling across the globe to do the same. just my humble .02.

Like I said props for what you are doing.
