My grimmspeed uppipe recently failed at the flex section Installing uppipes are a pain, and something I rather not attempt by myself. I was wondering if anyone knew a local mechanic or subaru guru who could assist or do the work? I would prefer to find someone local who could take on this job when they have some free time instead of going to a local shop and spending a few hundred in labor.

Local to where? There are a number of shops all over the bay; let us know what part of bay area.

 

I live in the Peninsula, but I am willing to drive/leave the car anywhere in the area if I can save some $$ compared to bringing it to one of the local subaru performance shops.

 

RBMS in Hayward is probably closest to you.
