Max Alternator Amperage on the 2.0L
Golfsick has a newer generation STi alternator installed in his Ver.8 swap.
The 02-03 has a 75 amp alt and the 05-07 has I think 90 and the new generation has a 110.
Ray seems to have zero issues with his but I am worried about the over amperage possibly interference with the ECU.

Bolts right in.
Some Subaru's have different alternator plugs though. Not sure which ones are different from the others.

Why not just get the stock Alternator rewraped and swap out the diode so it puts out much more? I did that for my 4runner and now have 120amp AC/DC wired (single wire ford style) so I can use it for welding too. Cost me under $300 total for the work including installing it.
Ive been pondering doing a DC only rewrap on the FXT's alt, to bump it up to 120-140amp, what i would really like to do is go 24v but that would require so much work (and space for 4 6v batteries, too much weight)
