as for the chucks...we'll all be wearing brand new black chucks with black laces. We decided on that a long time ago.

how long did it take you pick the place? this is my BIGGEST problem! i just want to know if other are as picky about it as i am.

good luck with everything. i really like your color choices. brown, beige, navy and burgandy are my top choices for colors...once i have a place i can pick a date....which will determine more the color scheme.

as for bands...keep it simple. were having our made but we could probably find one just as nice but for more.

whens the big day?

It was very difficult. We have been engaged 3 months and all we have done is pick a place, date and colors. oh...and she got her dress.

Our date was originally going to be in 08 so we got a slow start. Then we pushed to 07. We checked a couple of places out but the choices where made simpler for us. We had to first decide how big we wanted it...that was a HUGE factor in our location choice.

We had the ranch...her family owns it so facilities are free and the Club. My family owns most of it so the facilities were free...both places would cost pretty close to the same but one gave us a list of 200 people and one we figured we could invite about 130 and expect maybe 85 to show. One was fancy. One was low key.

We checked out a couple of VERY cool little spots though. I had my heart set on one but it was too small...we figured 65-100 tops.

The location is HUGE. You really can't do anything at all until you have a date and a location.

^Nice rings. We got both of ours there.

Wedding is being rolled into a SEMA trip, the Laughlin Adventure Rally (honeymoon we'll both enjoy).

Simple everything, ten guests, flying in from around the country.

Wedding at Red Rock Canyon, dinner at an authentic Hofbrauhaus (she's a German citizen), and karaoke until we all fall down...

I meant for a wedding, the dude wanted a brown pinstrip tux.

Anyhoo, sounds like a cool wedding. The colors match the ranch location well. Good luck with it.

If you plan on buying a tux, get a black one. I spent about 1800 on mine and it has come in handy for when you need to attend a black tie affair.

The chocolate theme does sound pretty nice. You'll probably have to buy yours since you want pinstripes unless you alter a suit to the cut you want.

Man, the only thing you can do is ask her what she would like some help with. Cause you know you don't want to take over something and have it not be the way she wanted it. lol

And dude, brown tuxes with black chucks? Not a good color combo unless its a dark brown.

just for example's sake, here's some stuff that we did

i googled the description and found our exact cake toper. we had black and red color theme, and skull ties(me and groomsmen).

i wish i would have known about the tungsten ring, but i probably would have still opted for my ti ring. i didn't like the other metal options because of their low melting point/heat transfer rate. i weld a lot and if i forgot to take my ring off "just this one time", and touch something hot or get splatter in the glove, ew ouch. instant heat differential problems. talk about a ring of fire... or maybe i just believe too many horror stories.

if all else fails, think of the "galexy 500" song by the rev.

good luck
