Thanks Rich. That was the first time I've had the wagon on a dirt road (however short it may be).

I was thinking you guys had a secret route to Mt. Hammy when you flew by the Alum Rock exit.

acually there is a really fun way up there "Quimby Rd.". i just couldn't remeber the Road i would have to take to get to it. Looking at the map now it's Capitol Exwy. which would have been easy to get to when we were doing our little turn around.

After the first mix up (880-101), I realized that there were no more Subarus around me except for a few behind me, like Mark Fortunately after one little back track over a few blocks, we made over to Quimby which I've gone almost every year. It was funny to come down the hill and pull into the gate with our original group

Might as well take this opportunity to apologize to the group that was following me. Got to Quimby and I became disoriented. A lot of people were following me in circles. Sorry guys. I hope everyone made it.

I was the blue wagon following Hung in the other blue wagon. I actually liked the little dirt road we ended up on. After getting lost like 3 times though, I thought I was never going to make it to Hammy, but we did, so it's all cool.

You know i was thinking the same thing. Once we got onto 130 Mt Hammy Rd we made a turn Right off 130 onto another road which started going down the mountain i knew we had to go all the way down and over to Quimby or turn around and before i know it the road was washed away and there was dirt for maybe 30 yards. I would have loved to blow throw it and show off but i didn't want to get my car or anyone else's dusty.

The moral of this story is life (or mount hammy in this case) is not about the destination but the journey.
