that sucks. I should be getting a decent amount of money back. last year my parents got screwed cuz the irs did an audit and they had to pay 17k for taxes and a 3k fine We made the company that did the taxes pay almost 5k because it was their mistake but my parents still lost over 15k

I've taken the course at HnR Block but im not fresh on the details. it was last year but i forgot some of the stuff. First off if u have jus a W2 then its prolly around70-100 bucks. Basically u pay by the forms u need. second u can either use Standard Deduction or Itemize. Itemize deductions only benefits u if u have lots of expenses to deduct, which usually are for private businesses. Otherwise your best bet would be the standard deduction. I'd go to HnR Block and have them prepare them for u so u can see if u made any mistakes. They wont charge u unless u actually file it with them. They wont charge u for doing it. When it comes to the end, jus say u will think about it and go home and try and see what they did different from you.

dude! thats my boat..

i made like 33k in 2005 claimed 0 and owed 1400 and this year again claimed 0 made 35k and owe something like 1600.... **** taxes.. its bull**** that they are this high.. its not like i made 50k...

if i claim zero i should have nothing to worry about.. thing is i claim zero and have them take 30 bucks a paycheck out so there are no suprises at the end of the year... but that didn't change a god damn thing...
