Making a WRX catback fit a GC
Hi all.
I was wondering if anyone knows the details on making a WRX catback fit on an Impreza L. Just asking because I am thinking about taking a WRX catback and fitting it on my "L." Next question is, does anyone know how much it would cost for a shop to install one for me? Thanks.

theres a flange you have to flip to make it fit the L, i believe its the very first one on the midpipe.
also, one of the hangers on the axleback has to be cut and relocated for it to fit properly.
depending on where you live, the price is gonna change. i had my STi aleback mated to my 2.5" non-resonated custom midpipe at Golden Auto in Daly City for $35.

Cool cool. Thanks. I am going to an STi catback from someone here on I-club. I have no idea what a flange is, but I've heard about how the hangers have to be adjusted. Do you guys recommend any shops on the east bay that can do it for a decent price? I also have Borla headers I want to get it. I want to do it myself, but I don't really have the tools to do it.

hmm.... i wonder how Borlas would sound with my setup...... after a homemade track pipe, of course.

Yeah. We'll have to see. I guess there are two or three things I want to get done.
1. Install the Headers
2. Put Rota Subzero's on. (I had a friend picked them up for me in my hometown. I am currently in Davis going to school. One of the wheels is cracked, so I am going to need to replace it. I was talking to one of the guys at SubyDude and he told me that the subzero in gun metallic, is currently out of stock.)
3. Put the STi catback in. (I am supposely picking that up on Saturday evening.)
So... if anyone knows of a place in Fremont that can do one or all of these things, please let me know. Hopefully, it can all be done by Mt. Hammy... Which reminds me, I need to order tickets for that.
