Just got back from watching the race in person (I am in Indy right now for a car show this week). I was seated on the BOTTOM row about 200 yards to the left of turn 1 (i.e. dang near right in front of the wreck).

Cool race....holy cow 19000 RPM or whatever they were turning at the end of the front straight sounded really cool in person

Geez...you lucky dog,Ed !! Any pics ?
Nice, Schumaker pole to finish. I read that the Ferrari's dominated. He's won 5 races at Indy, more than any other driver in any series.

Got a few pics, but nothing special since they were thru the safety fence. To be honest, the seat would have been better if halfway (or more) up the grandstand but since I got them at the last minute the choice was limited.

Yeah, the Ferraris led start to finish. Schumaker's teammate the first 25 or so laps (till first pit stops), then Michael the rest of the way. So far ahead at the end it was like 1/3 of lap between Michael and the first non-Ferrari team.

Buddy of mine had a VIP pass for Team McLaren...needless to say, the party there was over REAL fast since both drivers were out of the race less than 2 turns into it

blah, another ho hum f1 race. This season's racing is very unexciting at the front of the field. There's some good racing happening in the middle of the pack, but we never get to see it, since the TV cameras are so busy watching either Alonso or M. Schumacher running thier own private lapping sessions.

They did make qualifying better this year, but now qualifying's more interesting than the race is.

I've been hearing that F1 won't be back next year at Indy. Does anyone know where it'll be going, assuming there will even be a USGP?

JPM gets on my nerves sometimes, as much as they chalk it up to a racing incident, it could've been avoided. 4 wide in turn 1, gimmie a break.

the way you worded it made it sound like he was the only american out, out of several.

So where do you guys think Kimi's going to go next year. It now sounds like it's going to be Renault.

Kimi's really in the cat-bird seat at the moment. I boldly predict he'll take the reins at Toro Rosso and really mould that team into a world beater.

Either that or he'll just buy Midland and run only one car with himself as the driver.
