It's in the videos, 100 shot wet. The car also has pretty much all bolt-ons too. Still beast.

lol yeah. I would never take a mustang. As great as the numbers may seem, I just don't trust Ford. Rather than getting a mustang, i'll take a stock STi and have performance, reliability and a much safer car, any day.

Looks like a bunch of Subies are going to have to be careful where they flaunt those "V8 Hunter" stickers now.

They both have similar crash ratings, the Mustang slightly less likely to roll over.

In terms of performance I dont know that I'd directly compare a Mustang GT to a WRX STi. Putting the GT up against the Camaro SS and Challenger SRT8 and for my $$ its the Mustang all day.

Reliability wise; I don't recall the Mustang model line having 2 consecutive model years of notorious engine problems like the STi ('08) and WRX (09) did. Ford has really stepped up their quality the past few years, Subie tries to make a higher quality Impreza, and all the fanbois get pissy about it 'going soft'. feh.

I am willing to put money one the libe about what car modded will last longer. It takes lots of money to have a 400hp sti. and a modded STI is not what you would call "reliability" I 'm not a mustang fan, I just think it's great how most fords are well built and designed cars now.

2011 sti is 37k 305hp stock
2011 mustang GT 25k 415hp stock

put a turbo kit and everything you need to "build" that mustang into it for 12k and your at the price of a new stock sti. Tru AWD is great, but if someone is low on cash and wants a well rounded new sports car the muastang really does seam like a great value.
