Further North than anyone wants to travel in a day - without *****ing about how much driving they have to do.

dunno. Roo's use of "anyone" presumes that everybody apparently whines about "how much driving they have to do"

he'd be better off not posting an assumption as if he's speaking for everybody

just above I was speaking to wrxisthebest about driving to calaveras county

Irish_car_B0mb posted a pic that i took of an offroading adventure way out by pigeon point lighthouse

plus Roo knows that I was one of the people on last years Mt. Tam run who went very far north and went across skaggs with a group of people. 340 miles that day, 12 hours total for me.

and the 3rd post in this thread shows that I would have gone on this dirt road meet

i used to drive way out to sac for our almost monthly "sac twisties" meets with the acura group, and we'd go WAY out there to fiddletown road, and plymouth. i put 40,000 miles on my car in a years time back then, mostly driving adventures since that's my #1 hobby in my life

there are lots of people in the suby group who are more than willing to go out on drives like this, no matter what the distance is.

Excuse me, you are one of the FEW exceptions.

I just remember the last drive I coordinated - and how the most received comment was a complaint about how far they had to drive to get to the meet, how long the drive was, and complaints about how much gas they used.

It burned me out on coordinating drives, and makes me rather cautious about helping others who claim they want a drive, but aren't willing to spend a day in the car. Cow Mountain, Bartlett Springs Rd., Old Toll Rd. from Highland Springs (mostly Lake and Mendocino counties) would be where I'd bring people...

...if I were helping coordinate this drive.'

BTW, the four cars who did the entire drive that day went up to Pt. Arena, then over Mtn. View Rd. into Booneville, and came out the 128 above Cloverdale. We had the 128 all to ourselves, so umm, we had some...fun.

I wanted to continue, but after lunch I had to consider how long it would take to get home and whatnot. I had developed my UC last year and took a risk eating the sandwich and gatorade I brought to eat. I actually had to stop at a dennys off I-5 for 30 minutes
