Post Bay Area Dirt Roads

I wanted to put together a list of good dirt roads in the Bay Area that people have driven on in the past. If you know of any, please post below in the following format

1. Name
2. Location
3. Approximate Distance

Thanks, and here is my contribution.

1. Gloria/La Gloria Road
2. Linking HWY 101 and HWY 25 between Gonzales/Soledad and Pinnacles National Monument.
3. 16 miles

I know them all, but sorry- I'm not going to go and post them, I'd rather save them for rallies and group drives

There are only a handfull of dirt roads still accessible within about 2 hours of the greater bay area, if they are all posted here and suddenly dozens of subarus are on them annoying the locals, there won't be any left without gates on them.

I do like to use them for TSD rallies, which means I will be putting a dozen or so cars out on them occasionally, but if everyone already knows them, it's less fun to rally on them.

There is endless dirt once you are a couple of hours out, and if you come out for any of my rallies or group drives you will probably learn about some closer, but I just don't think it's right to possibly screw it up for everyone by posting the details of each of the 7 or 8 dirt roads that aren't already gated here.

So yeah maybe I have a bad attitude, I said I was sorry....

Just come along with us sometime and you will slowly learn all of them.

Then when is the next one? I am itching to drive something other than the above listed road....which by the way has no local residents.

Actually there are about a dozen ranches off of it, you just don't see much local traffic, but it's there.

I still haven't taken mine off road -- I really want to but I am worried about my car and causing unneeded wear and tear... not to mention any damage I would do (i.e. potholes, slidding off the road into a tree, rocks and just suspension damage) --
What are your guys take on off roading?
Is your WRX your only car? what damages have you suffered from off roading? stock cars?
Am I getting old?

I have 52k on my wagon and I abuse it hard as often as I can in the dirt. It's held up extremely well. After mangling my stock skid plate I put on an aluminum one and a rear diff protector that I have yet to really use. All the damage my car has sustained is due to clearance issues. My exaust has a couple dings from rocks and the underside of the front lip is all scraped up but you can't really see it. Anyone lowered or that has a front lip should be very carefull when off roading because just the wrong dip at 15mph can send your nose on the ground. I consider it pretty hard to really screw up in a wrx and hit a tree. Instincts will tell you when to slow down usually and the car responds very neutral/moderate understeer. This will all change with susp. mods of coarse.

Psoper-check your PM's
