Freebord is where it's at. But it is kinda the wrong season for freebording/longboarding. I have no board skills whatsoever but I can drive and work a camera.

Yeah I actually was offered a sponsorship by that company (Loaded). I can do pretty much everything you saw in that video except a few things. I have a million boards, like I am not joking. I have a Landyachtz Spud, Loaded Tan Tien, 3 Loaded Dervishes, Loaded Vanguard, Loaded Ceviche, freebord, Landyachtz EVO. I only use Paris Trucks, imo they are THEE best trucks to carve hills due to the deep bushing cup. Also I make my own bushings for the trucks!
Loaded has a bucnh of youtube videos and they are challenge series and if you complete one series you get $100 off a complete. The best boardshop on the peninsula/south bay is Black Diamond on University in Palo Alto. Longboards are my specialty, like I can tell you what you need to do what ever, I used to go to races and bomb down hills but I kind of switched into freestyle carver.
If you want to bomb hills go with a Landyachtz and watch this
If you want to have a surf feel go with Original and watch this
If you want some offseason snowboarding go with Freebord and watch this
If you want to do cool tricks and have a hard carver get a Loaded and watch this

Thats cool! I used to freebord until I flipped an edge going down a hill and ate it. Pavement is far less forgiving that the snow thats for sure...

Damn! You have a shi* load of boards.. You should go to the meet on Treasure Island on the 11th and bring one for me to try out. That looks like so much fun.

Yeah for sure! I will bring a few. I always keep at least one in my car. haha Have any particular board you want me to bring? Or any style of boarding you do?
Really? I would be curious to know why. I haven't skated since my Pops sold my Powell McGill..

Anyway, I jumped on my buddy's Loaded board and was cruising around easy peasy, seemed way easier than my old normal board. I want to get a board again so that's why I ask... Seemed like the longboard would be way more fun.

I've just been a skateboarder my whole life and never really saw the point of a longboard. Unless you're into high speed downhill/slalom or louge, a regular skateboard is much more versatile. For instance transportation, a longboard is clunky and slow to react and tough to Ollie up curbs.
I think the best setup for cruising/transportation (basically not doing many tricks) would be a zig zagger with big soft wheels...
