I used to bomb down Scott's Creek Rd off of 680. Started up at the top near the gate and rode down to the bottom near the church on my regular skateboard (7.75 & 54mm wheels). That hill seems so mellow in the beginning but you get deceived cause you end up going around 40 - 45mph if you don't slow down at all. I managed to never fall on that hill on numerous sessions so I think I'm done with it now. I've fell on other hills going slower and its not fun.
Still hit up the Mission hills in Fremont from time to time. Antelope is always a fun one.

I have done scotts creek road once, that is a nice run and is pretty long. Yeah you're right it seems mellow because it doesn't drop but after a while you pick up a lot of speed.

You walk back up haha or have a car follow. If you just want constant riding and are lazy, go to a garage that has a decline every level. Then you just get on the elevator to the top! Here in AZ by my school we have a 10 story parking garage. It is nuts.
I got the wing off Lagunatic. I got it painted and installed at Putnam Subaru in Burlingame.
You can go get one from SGP (BTW it is on sale!)

Wow. Surprised I didn't see this thread earlier. I grew up downhilling on Powell flames boards with Kryptos in the Oakland hills. Rode a few longboards (42" Powells and a 38" Think flames) downhilling in and around Boulder, CO during college, but really enjoy the short turning radius of boards around 33-34" long. My buddy recently got a GoPro so we'll be getting some video going sometime soon.

I skateboarded for years, but never got into longboarding. I just tag along with my friends when they bomb hills and I take photos. We usually go up in the hills of Milpitas. We're always looking for new spots!
