Arrow Lodging recommendations for Mendocino?

My wife and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary in September, and I am planning a trip up to Mendocino for us. I am looking for recommendations for a larger hotel or inn. Since we are bringing our 1.5 year old daughter, I don't really want to stay at a "cozy" old-style B&B, especially after reading all those ghost sightings on here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've never stayed in Mendocino. I usually stay in Fort Bragg. There is an awesome motel there called The Beachcomber Motel. They have decent rates, nice clean rooms and incredible views of the ocean. It's funny you are going to the area for your fifth ann..I proposed to my fiance on the beach below the Beachcomber last August

You can also hit www.mendocino.com to find some hotels. The Beachcomber is on there

Here's a pic from the motel:

+1 for the Beachcomber! I've stayed there as well, and it is very nice. They have jacuzzi and fireplace suites, and the views are incredible, since it's right on the bluff. It's not too far from Mendocino (~15 minute drive).

Haha, I grew up in Mendocino, and it's a great place. However, I have nothing to
offer as I never stayed in a single hotel anywhere in the area .
I do know where the beachcomer is and that's as good a spot as any.

Highway 20 is a fun twisty drive, but will probably make your kids puke.

We stayed here a few years back and I liked the view of the harbor

There's an old style restaurant down the hill right at the harbor that is a pretty good place to eat too. Can't remember the name. Best part is the drive up there. Have fun.

How about the "Heritage House"? If you can afford it, it's awesome.
