I have had some suggestions on the other forum about the Viper 791XV alarm system, that has a 2 way paging system, and remote start. It will tell you what has been opened on your car (ie door opening, hood, trunk, or just a warning beep). They said it should be about $500 installed.

Stage2limited, how much did you say yours was installed?

i would love one with remote start, but they arent allowed to if you car is a manual, and which alarm has the built in turbo timer?

 

are they really illegal?

 

I think it's more of a liability issue...like you push the button with the car in first and it leaps into the living room.

 

they have modules now that if you do have a manual and you try to start it in gear it won't start...

 

Get a crimestopper, ive had it in 2 of my cars and it works great (also includes remote start). I also know a couple of guys who installs it for about 100 bucks.
