Local Alarm Installation

Do you guys have any suggestions on professional aftermarket alarm installers for my WRX? I have been reading TOO MANY stolen WRX threads on the other forum, and I am really thinking about upgrading to a better alarm system. Especially since I got a lot of money invested in this car. Anyone got suggestions? And what type of alarm should I buy? I was pretty happy with my Clifford alarm I had on my 4Runner.

Let me know.

they can still steal your car if you hve one of those... all they need to do is put the car in neutral and get a flatbed truck...

Clifford RS Matrix 2.5 is pretty slick. Im using it right now, only mine comes with remote start ( RS Matrix 3.5). Its a two way paging alarm system with added provisions for a number of modules to be added at a later date if you so chooses. If you have it installed by an authorized clifford dealer (that would be me ) and your car gets stolen, Clifford will pay your deductable.

Anyone know any reputable installers on the peninsula? My friend is looking at one of the Clifford units much like the one described above with the paging system.

They do alarms & are just awesome.

I don't know too much about alarms but from what they talked to me about it seemed they had some GOOD STUFF...

Maybe Vince (Omega Tintwerkz) can chime in. His cousin runs the place!

Monney Car Audio in Redwood City. Little pricey but TOP quality work, audio and alarm install. If you're really concerned about security, get LowJack - you get a discount on your insurance too.

from what I've heard lojack is an FM frequency based tracking system. They install something in your car that broadcasts at a certain freq. which they can use to locate where it is BUT being that it is FM freq. based there are times & places where it can/will be blocked thus negating it's usefulness but there are satellite based trackers which are more reliable.

Expensive but if you're paranoid, like me, then it's worth the peace of mind. My tracking system cost $1495 & there are a bunch of bells & whistles along with just the tracking aspect of the system.
