Just came back from Sunnyvale's range, shot my cousins Ruger 10-22. Think that might be my next purchase, so easy to shoot and cost so little! Shot the AR as well.

I was looking at a 10/22 takedown the other day at Reeds. I've got a few .22s and they are fun to shoot all day long and can't beat the price of ammo. I work literally right around the corner from Reeds, so I usually shoot there.

I'm actually seriously considering a MLR22AT, which is sort of like a modified 10/22:

Someone was telling my that the takedown was bad i forgot why. Im thinking of getting the regular 10/22 because ill probably modify it later on.

Because splitting it up and putting it back together means more chance for error, but it also takes up a lot less space.

Snapped a pic of the .338 Lapua at lunch.

Take Downs have a bad rep all the way around... poor accuracy, poor QC.

If I was buying a 22LR rifle, it would totally be a Henry Large Loop

There is also the Marlin 795 which is a great out of the box .22 rifle comparable to the 10/22.

Still haven't shot mine yet though :/

Or my AR for that matter........

These are the only gun salesmen I've met in the bay area that are capable of sharing helpful information and not treating every customer like some sort of burden.

I really want to pick up a Les Baer from them but can't deal with the long wait.

A friend has a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special and I have to say, it is the nicest piece I have gotten a chance to use so far. I have had the opportunity to handle quite a few over the years and this is my fave. Super precise, feels good man.

Never been to this place, but I picked up a couple trigger locks at Kerley's on Steven's Creek and they treated me well.

Hell yes, these guys are great and I would have given him more business yesterday but he was out of all the ammo I was looking for.

I took my 1911 in there looking for some parts and showed him an issue I was having. The guy took it down and took care of it right there on the spot. My next gun purchase will almost certainly be through them, as long as they can get what I am looking for, and I will continue to support shops like that.

I bought a few rounds for the .22s yesterday

If you're thinking about a Les Baer... think harder about a Valtro
