Smile Legit place to purchase SUBARU engines? (Mainly STi)

Is there a legit shop that sells STi motors? Or anyone on here selling one? I can't afford a 6-7 rebuilt engine ATM. Hoping to drop 3.5k - 4 k on swap.. If that helps. Thanks guys.

Are you looking for a warranty or something?
Are you doing the work yourself?
Are you talking 4K with new engine and labor?

You can get away with purchasing a used long/short block and rebuild accordingly. However it may even be to your advantage to rebuild your current engine and reduce the costs of a new short/long block. Regardless of that fact, unless you are pulling the engine and doing all the labor yourself, you're looking at a whole lot of $$$$.

There are a ton of rebuild kits out there that are not too pricey, in the scope of the overall work/project, and can replace original parts or provide stronger parts depending on your goals.

But again, Labor is what will run you most at any shop. Replacing a head gasket alone from a trusted Subaru shop is going to cost you about 4-5K easily!

$3.5-4k total or in parts only? Are you doing all the work and tuning?

Flatiron tuning has 08+ OEM crate motors, I got mine for under 1900, then had mert at RBMS do all the work, rebuild the heads and so on, total out the door was around 3300 plus all the extras I put in. (arb head studs, cosworth head gaskets, etc...)

Wait till you have more money... Or go buy the block, parts, etc, and save up for the labor and tuning, do it right the first time, I have a few friends here who had crappy work done and had to redo the process. $$$$$ all the shops listed here in BAIC are good shops - Ahq, Gst, etc, etc....

Looking for just a replacement engine. Swap in and out. Stock motor. Is it possible to find used motor for around 3k'ish? I would have a shop like GST install it and pay the extra cash to do that.

My suggestion, go talk to Mert, you can do what I did. I saved up, bought the block, then saved and picked up the studs and head gaskets, then found my VF39 here used, saved more and picked up my downpipe, new clutch, and so on. Once I had all the parts in one place, I took it over to RBMS and had it done.
