Laser eye surgery

Anyone had it done in the Bay Area? Would you do it again?

Want to finally give up contacts/glasses...

I had some minor correction done last year. Did not have contacts previously, but had an issue that they were able to fix with the laser. I would do it again, but it feels really weird, like my eye was going to explode. No issues since having it done.

I did lasik, but not in the bay. I was short sighted in my right eye and far sighted in my left.

Right eye is 19/20, left eye is meh due to the fact that it has always been weaker, slight case of lazy eye.

Would I do it again? Probably, night blindness is a slight issue though, and can vary from person to person. Headlights glare more at night after the surgery.

Did you wear contacts previously? Or just glasses? I ask because I get glare from headlights wearing contacts. So if I were to get lasik, I'd like to know what the difference would be.

My wife swears by it: "The best decision/thing I've ever done". She has some issues with night blindness/glare, but it's not bad enough to keep her from driving at night or second guess her decision. She previously wore contacts or glasses (primarily contacts).

I wore glasses, no contacts, I'm too lazy and forgetful, so I didn't want to risk an infection. Well, that and the glasses make me look schmart

Ill take all the recommendations I can get. Do you have any night vision problems?

i would say that my eyes are a little bit more sensitive to night light than before. but it really hasn't been an issue.

Pressure on the eye yes, explode? No my doctor was more gentle than that. You CAN smell burning flesh when they turn on the laser though, so be prepared for that.

It just feels weird. My surgery was on the retina, not the lens, so it was likely a bit different for me. Pretty sure it is the same machine though.
