Thumbs up KSJO's back (sorta)

South Bay: 104.9 KCNL and 92.3 KSJO to swap formats
Written by Lance Venta · September 10, 2009

On Friday, September 18 at 5:00pm Clear Channel will swap formats on two of the stations in its Aloha Stations Trust. The Modern Rock “Channel” will move from 104.9 KCNL to 92.3 KSJO, while Spanish Oldies “La Preciosa” goes from 92.3 to 104.9. Channel is the big winner of this shift, as it goes from the 6kw at -153 feet Class A licensed to Sunnyvale to the 32kw @ 446′ Class B in San Jose.

I used to work there, and while it might not be "pure" KSJO, having rock music back down at that frequency makes me smile

I died a little inside when KSJO left us.

I still smile and think of WoW when I see a KSJO bumper sticker.

So, someone bring back KOME now! Oh, wait, most of you weren't born yet. Well, 92.3 and 98.5 were the bomb rock stations.. Oh, and the contests were kick ***.

Good God! KSJO rock music station started in the late 60`s I believe. I used to listen to it from the early 90`s until it was replaced some few years ago.

Hell, I used to think Laurie Free was hot if you guys remember her.

Man, I miss KSJO when they played all metal, all the time. The Bone just doesn't cut it at all compared to the old KSJO.

And yeah, KOME was better than Live 105
