Looking at buying an 09 outback with 60k miles. Never owned an outback, just my WRX. What are the known issues with this model? Things i should ask about, or keep in mind for later. Guy told me that its in the shop right now for a wheel bearing. Thanks in advance.

 

I'd say it depends on the maintenance. If it's been cared for by a shop that's reputable then you don't have much to worry about...

You can always and should do a pre inspection at a good shop like Rbms or Gst in the bay and FW up north. Cost you a couple hundred at most maybe but tons of peace of mind.

 

All the standard things you'd look at based on miles. My daughter has a 2011 and it has been reliable so far.
