Kartboy Shifter Problems

I jsut recieved my kartboy short shifter and Im having trouble getting the old one out. I simply cannot do it. The ball will not come out of the socket, has anyone else had problems getting it out and what have you done to get it out? I have an STi so there is a possiblity its different but I doubt it.

On the WRX, if you pull it toward the back of the car (once the center pass through bolt is out), it will lever it out.

Good luck, but I'd read up if the STi is different. Or give Kartboy a call/PM on nabisco

jesus, yeah I tried pulling it all the way back and trying to wedge it out. I weigh 144 and me putting all my weight on it that way couldnt get it out. I actuall bent the god damn sucket lip around the socket. something else has to be done I guess.

sent you an email. the STi is a bit different, it uses a snapring to hold the shifter in the socket. we were hoping that people would wait till Peaty got the install page finished but like myself i'm impatient.
i also sent you an exploded view of the shifter assembly
Thanks
