It's the same for 02-07 and if you have small hands you can just reach back there and unplug it in about 10 seconds. Just follow your heart, that's what I do.

you have to remove the glove box, then you'll see the connector

mine was a 2008 sti...and there is like 2 set of those big plugs like those on that side...I unplug one of them...the drl is still on...don't want to unplug the wrong thing.
