In that case, EVERYBODY and i mean EVERYBODY in California should get ticketed for going over the speedlimit. Not just who the cops choose or happened to be following one day. Thats why ppl are saying the speed limit is BS.

yea they SHOULD, if the cop wants to be an *******.

i didnt make the speed limit. if it were up to me it would vary depending on freeways. such as 80mph on 280. or different speed limits at different times of the day. hours 5am-7pm the limit could be 65. and from 7pm-5am it could be 75. just a thought

This is correct on the fwy.
On a surface street, the posted speed is not the maximum speed allowed, unless the sign indicates "Maximum Speed".

Hardly.
Show up & fight it and the judge will most likely reduce the fines.
Has happen every time I've gone to court and present even a remotely plausible defense.
Plus, the cop doesn't always show up.

But according to you (and true as it is), whatever is posted is maximum. So everybody should be ticketed. It doesn't matter if the cop is an ******* or not. It is an issue of consistently enforcing what is written into law or revising it as they did a decade ago when the feds repealed the 55mph limit.
