Just got backed in by a freakin' Van, Big dent on the hood.
darn, sorry to hear that... I forgot to mention, ALWAYS ask for new OEM parts instead of fix. If the cost is too big, often insurance company would say to use aftermarket instead. But you can argue with the adjuster (I did). Plus, most of the time part would be cheaper than labor.

but it's probably too late to ask them to replace it, since the hood has already been repaired..
yeah, it's too late now, but good for future information. who is this lady? from the bodyshop or insurance company? You can ask the bodyshop to give you the estimate of the repair and the cost for the part. If they are close, it won't be that difficult to ask the insurance company to get the part instead of repair.
