This is nuts. I didn't even know this was going down. Hope Joe (subydude) is alright in the Philippines.

Crazy. Looks like 8am. Wonder what kind of water I'll see. Were pretty low. Far away but the creak should rise.

Jeff's wife is from Japan. Her mom is over there. A friend of mine was born in the town that got wiped out. Still hadn't gotten Ahold of her family. Sucks. She's a wreck.

8.9 is officially the 5 largest quake EVER since they've been recorded. Prayers to anyones thats right in its path

Posted this in the other thread accidentally but its good news so ill post it again
Mom just called me from grandpas house - she was at a store in ginza and said things flew off the shelves and people were flooding the streets panicking...

She had to walk from ginza to yotsuya/shinjuku - took her almost 2 hours to get home to my grandpa, lucky they both safe

I'm not sure I've been trying to call her with no luck but she was able to call me, said she called as soon as she walked through the door and that she was able to call her dad from a ginza pay phone after it happened...good luck trying to get through and be safe in the morning!
