Damn, talking to some friends in Japan on FB right now. Most folks in Tokyo are OK but just freaked the hell out. Sendai looks like it ate it real bad though.

Folks in Hawai'i are fine, just a tsunami warning for now.

Geez, Sendai looks really bad right now...

I have a friend who lives in Tokyo. Her building is pretty new and built for seismic shock. So far, only her fish tank and her husband's video game collection were compromised. However, the strength of the multiple aftershocks were worrying. They weren't letting up for a while and that apartment building's suspension could only absorb so much right now.

Pretty crazy. Haven't heard back from some chicks I know in Tokyo, but they live in high-rises, so they should be safe. Dunno about their fams tho. Haircutter dude flew back on Mon cuz his g-ma went into a coma. Dang, feel hella bad for them. Bad luck.

Hope there aren't too many casualties. Gonna take a while to clean things up. Sendai Airport looks like a wading pool.

Watching the live news coverage of the aftermath now. Looks terrible, giant ships washed up on shore and everything. I hope people are alright
