same, i was just pointing out. My bad if i sound insensitive. Being stolen from is a really ****ty feeling. You didn't do anything wrong and you just want your stuff back but that feeling of what if. Sorry again. hope the shoes weren't to special. Like Lex said if he has renters or home owners insurance or if he lives at home and he is listed as being in the household all the stuff in the car is covered. just weight the cost of the deductible and the stuff lost. (also the rate increase)

I see your point, and I agree that it's often very difficult to discern things that are happening right under our noses. Things seem innocent enough (like any other everyday occurrence) as you drive passed or walk by whether in your neighborhood, the local shopping center or a mountain resort. It's terrible when it's just "good acting" w/ the intent to jack hard-working folks like ourselves.

I'm sure you didn't mean anything bad w/ your comment either. I guess I really took his situation to heart since I snowboard so much myself. I can't imagine how brought down he & his buddies were when returning to the car after having a rippin' time on the slopes.

I'm sorry if I seemed a bit holier than thou, but I easily saw myself in their position and took it as a being kicked while I was down kinda thing. So "my bad" actually. I'm just glad he's not letting it keep him fr getting right back out there again!

He already said he wasn't trying to bash or get down on y'all who went thru this. Matt (I think that's his name) was simply pointing out that it's often hard to tell that something fishy is going on w/o tell-tale signs like bashed-in windows or maybe someone leaned thru a window. I kinda touched on this difficulty in my post just above yours.

I'm grateful that y'all are offering your "Be Advised" warning. Again, sorry to hear the circumstances of this advice though.

B... no one is hatin' even if it may have come across that way. Folks just didn't understand the FULL story (i.e. not realizing "valuables" were in the vehicle b/c y'all had checked outta rooms already).

We ALL feel for y'all, brah. Unlucky break is all.

wow, please actually READ my posts. I was in no way bashing the guy that got his **** jacked. I was simply explaining why people walking by probably wouldn't stop someone rummaging through a car.

I wouldn't be surprised if the parking lot security knew about it. Sometimes they get in on **** and just turn a blind eye. Sorry to hear...I was just there a week ago!
