Coil overs probably will take a beating. How stiff are they and what brand?
I ran 16's A/S tires and what I sustained was:
- bumper cover flared out when the "lip" dug into a rut (easily pops back on)
- ate a wheel well liner
I've since use zip ties to replace the front 3 plastic clips holding the front of the well liner to the front bumper, and haven't lost a liner since. My theory was the front horizontal piece would pop off when the front dug the dirt. Then it just acted like a tab which eventually sucked under the wheel and then its history. So far The theory is proving right.
Do the school, well worth letting your subie "express its soul."

unless you're slammed/hella flush, you should be fine.
I rallyx'd for 3 seasons on Bilstein PSS9's which lowered the car a bit and they were fine....I was rough on them too.
A lot of people will use painter tape on the front lip/lower half of the car to avoid scratches, etc....but as someone said, the biggest damage comes from the front lip getting scratched up....if you really want to save it, just take the front bumper off
skid plate is highly recommended though, just in case.

I do know who Paul is, we were actually living in McMinnville OR at the beginning of the year and I wanted badly to go to the school there but we had to go back to Utah. I've been on his website ever since I got my RS because he has some awesome parts for them! I am definitely doing this next year!
