iPad
Hi my name is iPad,
I want to put netbooks to shame with my lack of multitasking, lack of flash support, lack of telnet/SSH support. My best friend the iphone recomments me but he doesn't support Java and none of my friends support removable batteries.

10 key, normal sized buttons for people who type with more than their thumbs or index fingers, the weight/response of a keystroke (mostly a gamer thing)...traditional keyboard win.
great another i product. future? i dont think so lol. its gonna need a whole lot more **** than this to be the future. id mess with one, never buy it though. unless some one gives it to me as a gift. id be mad at them for buying me a apple product, then live with it and just use it.

I'm sure one of my friends will buy this, then upgrade to its next-gen a year later. Then I'll buy the first-gen for dirt cheap (or free) just to play around with hehehe
Really???
Things this can do my netbook can't: Run iPhone apps.. touchscreen?
Things my netbook can do that the "Mac's iPad" can't: accept any usb attachment, play flash movies, *multitask*, webcam, run any piece of windows/linux software out there, skype, HDTV out..... probably a lot more.. plus netbooks are cheaper??
iFail.

People can hate all they want but you can't really surpass the ease of use of the apple products. I prefer not to use my laptop for taking notes in lectures because of the inability to make charts, and calc diagrams easily. This could possibly be the solution I'm looking.
Really what it comes down to is this: sure other companies can announce a similar product earlier, and for cheaper, but they are all just too hoaky to use and that's what differentiates apples high-priced products from the rest of the pack. Anyone else here have a (non iphone) touch screen cellphone? I do, and it drives me nuts how far inferior it is to the iphone interface. This same point is valid for ipod as well, which isn't even priced higher than it's competition.

The iPad coupled with my iPod 3GS, MacBook Pro, Toyota Prius, black thick rimmed glasses and fixie I'll be the coolest sunova***** to ever walk the face of the earth.
Or at least until the next Apple product comes out.
