he probably might able to pull it off just once since they are just opening... however, i dont think the dealership will care to turn into a subihead hangout. lol

Hey. I just came back from Subaru of Fremont. They seem pretty nice. I went with my dad. They even offered a test drive on an 05 WRX, but declined since I don't know how to drive a stick. Correction... I can, but I am still learning... Haha. Prices seem a little high though. They were asking for $38k for an 07 STi, but you know... you never pay sticker for a car...

There is hope for this place...

I wonder if their parts department open on Sunday... I might go and pick something up before heading to Kev's place...

Actually, a guy who works the parts department or something at the dealership stopped by the liquor store I was working on-site at. We had a brief conversation and I told him about I-Club and stuff. He said that some of the salesmen or whoever at the dealership were checking out the Subaru message boards and read through the Stevens Creek threads. Haha. He did mention there's a guy transferring from So Cal that's into modifying Subarus. Must be the guy Daniel was talking about. Aside from the prices, it sounds like they're doing a bit of homework. He did mention that in the recent weeks, business has started to pick up. Could it "kinda" be because they were mentioned around here?

Well hopefully they read this thread. The people there seem like good people (ie no *******s) save for maybe the Stevens Creek mechanic. Hopefully they can just settle in, get another mechanic (I had a seriously bad experience myself with a Stevens Creek Subaru mechanic) and have competitive pricing (against Carlsen and Santa Cruz; c'mon, 38k for a 2007 STI vs. 31.5k from Carlsen...). Then it's a dealership I could refer to friends and go myself.

38K is really only a sticker price though. All dealerships always have high sticker price is. The question is... how much can you get an STi for from Fremont?
