Insurance Company Blues

I lucked out and got an insurance adjuster that fudged things to include some of my aftermarket goodies (without me asking!) but if I get in another accident I'm probably not going to be as lucky. Does any insurance company cover aftermarket parts? Anyone have any experience with this?

i have seen insurance companies in classic car magazines that offer specialty insurance but maybe they are only for classic muscle car types...

I think my State Farm policy will cover my aftermarket parts, but that might be just because we have had the same agent for going on 30 years, I dont know.

My 21st Century has $1,000 of aftermarket coverage built in to (I think) every policy standard. If you want more coverage, you just tell 'em and they adjust your premium (I don't think it's very expensive).

They rock, btw I love my21.

yes, insurance companies cover aftermarket parts. ofcourse, you may have to provide for them receipts to prove the value and that you really have them.

21st will insure you once you have at least 3 years licensed driving experience and less than 3 points.

I'm 23 and have high limits and I pay $2000/yr. Much less than anywhere else, and when I had my accident 21st took EXCELLENT care of me and my claims.

i had mercury, and at the time they covered my exhaust and rims. the extra coverage even brought my premiums up a bit. that's odd...might be a new policy they've just began implementing.

also with 21st century. to up the $1k coverage to $2k is ~$100/yr extra. for $3k, which i think is max coverage, it's $200 extra. not bad, especially if you have an expensive stereo that got stolen.
