damn insurance company
Just got a renewal policy and noticed my insurance went up 50% ... I call the ****ers up and they tell me that they reclassified the car since originally they didn't have the proper manufacturers info. Did this happen to anyone else. What a ****ing scam. I got a 06 wrx.
What insurance company do you recommend, i gotta get odd the 21 century

I had farmers before. I remember when i switched I got twice the coverage at half the price that farmers used to give me.
I guess all this depends on when and how you sign up and how much they will like ripping you off at a time.

You are ****ting me! I'm 26, this is a second car on the policy, plus I also slapped it under my mothers name so it goes down some more, no points and its over 2k a year just for the 06WRX.

Used to have Mercury but changed it to esurance. Geico gave me a similar quote.
27 yo, no points, 100/300, 500 collision ~$700/6 months
btw, I had 21st when I first bought the car and when renewal came around, they told me the same thing when the premium jumped by like 30%.

^^I have esurance too. Made a recent claim for getting my car keyed and it was very easy. The rep even called on a weekend to take care of my paper work. Very good price too...about $90/month for me.
Wawanesa, cheapest in CA if you have 1 point or less. Mercury is a close 2nd
21, 05 STi, FULL coverage (100/300/100, collision, comp, rental, uninsured), 500 colliision deductible, 100 comp deductible

I work for state farm a little expensive this is with no other car and no multi line discount for a house or something.
Whats funny is that the 06 WRX is rated the same as an EVO and the STI is 5 points higher.

I pay $950 a year through Esurance for an 05 WRX wagon with 250k/500k BI, 100k/300k Uninsured, $100k property, $5k medical, $500/$500 ded, loan Gap, rental, and roadside oh and I'm 35 with no points, good driver discount, and "engineering" discount. I've used e-surance for about 8 years and have had two major claims though them, both handled flawlessly. Monthly is just under $80

We have Amex. They are pretty cheap.
Just remember though, cheap is not always best. I know how to fight for myself if the company tries to pull something (I'm in the biz).
Mercury will decrease your liability limits if an unlisted driver has an accident in your car. You need to read the policies very carefully and make sure you understand what you are getting for your money.

The only thing is, you have to have a clean record, no accidents, claims or points on your record. The other drawback is they don't have any kind of online application. They're old fashioned and you need to fill out paper forms and stuff before they can give you an estimate. This really turns off a lot of would-be applicants.

I pay 750/6 months for an 06 WRX through USAA. I was paying 550 in Virginia, but that all changed.
Also, the wagon is a lot less on insurance because they dont realize that a wagon can be bada$$.

Additional coverage for mods is also pretty cheap and easy. Dunno if it was on here or another board, some guy got like 4k extra in coverage for his mods for only 100 more per year
