Installing intercooler sprayer
Has anyone with a WRX ever attempted this. It seems pretty easy. I just dont knwo what luck anyone has had. If you have what parts did you use.
I was thinking of just getting a cheap ole windshield washing pump. running power. putting whatever bottle in my cargo area that fits. getting the sprayer to put in the scoop . running the button either on my shifter or next to it. (The place they put it in the STI looks like its in a bad spot) and presto intercooler sprayer.
It seems pretty straight forward to me but let me know if anyone has tried it.
and the big question is if i install will it void my warranty.

I've heard that the garden sprinkler misters don't make a fine enough mist to work properly/efficiently. Just something to think about/check on before starting the project.

Food for thought: If you got a temperature activated relay and a low-reservoir warning light, you wouldn't even need the button. More expensive, but it would be a fire-and-forget solution. Just refill the bottle occasionally.

nice, but you'd have to know the right temp to have it trigger at

maybe run a probe to see? Like, after moderate street driving, highway cruising, after an auto-x run, hard street driving, to figure out when you'd want the sprayer going?
you would want the right setting, or you'd be out of fluid very quickly I'd think!
