I'm quite confused by how your question has anything to do with what I posted. i-club, as well as the company that runs it is not a photo hosting site (not it's main function). So, your question can't be aimed at that.
i-club, Evolutionm, gtrforums, s-chassis, and whatever other sites the company who runs these forum has running gains revenue from advertising, sponsors like the vendors, and probably other ways I don't know of. If my terrible memory serves me right, when Imprezer was running i-club it was very different. I don't use instagram, but AFAIK, they don't support many ads (if any), and the servers required to host pictures is a hellava lot more than servers that mainly contain text, hyperlinks and a miniscule amount of data compared to a photo hosting site.

No, Instagram can't sell your photos: what the new terms of service really mean | The Verge
It's no different than Google's Picasa or Facebook's picture. In fact, most free photo hosting sites have this practice. If you want to host pictures without this, go pay for it. Companies need to make money somehow, servers aren't free.
Continue freaking out everyone.

yeah Ray this isnt a very good comparison, Forums like this are pretty clearly ad supported and to some extent the "premium membership" stuff they do on some forums which I think is BS but is still totally optional. I think peoples gripe with Instagram is they would never have even started if they were told up front that after a couple years their pics would be sold. If after all the years we've been posting on i-club how would we all feel if we were told the if we wanted to keep posting they would require us to give them our personal information to sell to god knows who
