Apparently after January 16, if you don't delete your instagram, Facebook has to right to sell your photos..

I'm worried about them selling to a federal agency, pictures of people doing illegal activities or possessing illegal items. Cuz everyone knows they got a buddy on their instagram that takes a picture of them rolling a blunt exposing the bud in plain view and I'm sure you can track the picture and prove it came from their phones and blah blah. Maybe it was a plan all along to raise money for the economy, allow social networks that are being monitored and stored in a database with legal rights to sell that information in the future to federal agencies.

If this doesn't stop I along with at least half of the people on my list will be deleting it. I would venture to guess that they will loose MILLIONS of users.
I have several famous folks I follow and a few that I know. I also have one friend who's daughter is a model. Those people will be gone for sure.
As soon as I heard Facebook bought Instagram I knew that the ap was going to have a short life. When Facebook sold it very quickly became an ad focuses marketing tool. Why would they not do that with instagram?
Someone else will start something similar and people will go to that. Just like myspace became Facebook.
The crap part is that is the truth of it... you put it out there for public consumption and someone will try to benefit from it. Hell in the last 2 weeks I saw a tattoo artist that I know put another "artist" on blast because the dude was using pictures that were not his to market himself and a pin striper buddy of mine had the same thing happen to him. People right click and save your work and use it as there own.
As a designer I am always fearful of this and actually had a student from the academy of art in s.f. win a HUGE award by stealing my work and using it as his own.

Serious, I don't need or want them selling high quality pics I've taken with my 7D without my permission. I have an account with them but haven't uploaded anything yet, looks like I'll be deleting it.

yeah.. some people are just that dumb.. I'm cool with seeing someone rip one and not have the bowl visible because you can't prove its not tobacco but when its clearly visible, its irresponsible and stupid.
I've always liked conspiracy theories, and well, this subject is one of mine I've kept to myself haha. It may be a bummer and suck for the people that get busted, but it'd take those dumb***** off the streets or build revenue for the rest of us that deserve it in our social security so its no SO so security like it is now

I imagine that this is going to go off much like how Facebook's privacy revisions go. People will ***** and complain but most will continue to use it. I am going to delete mine now.

but honestly it will probably just **** off people who wana be instafamous and take the whole thing a little too serious as is lol
