Its more generic. Unlike BC which probably uses the same valving for all their set ups. RCE redoes it for your application and spring rate.

Maybe the KW V3 valving for the newer WRX/STI is better than previously.

If you ride on KW v3s and then ride on RCEs, you realize that the stock valving isn't as good. The ride has too much movement. not enough compression for one. I don't own a car with them so can't comment on the rebound.
