yea total haterade and biased post, unfortunately the evo guys dont juust let their mouth do the talking, they have us beat when we discuss handling and power and making of it, easier and cheaper. and last i checked, sti's were cheaper than evos used

^ depends on where you look. On tarmac, yes but the difference is small, on gravel.....

I'm actually quite surprised and content with the general reaction of BAIC. If someone had posted on EVOM about this, there would've been a minor ****storm. Probably nazioc too.

Yeah, I agree... I'm impressed with the content of this thread, lots of open minds and I'm thankful that people are CAR enthusiasts and not just SUBARU enthusiasts. I can appreciate any fast performance car... As long as it's fast and meets my needs, I'm happy.

I wish I could say the same about luxury cars, bleh!

I'd say the interior is better in the X than previous generations. I've driven the IX and X. Both are great cars, but I felt more connected to the IX; the IX felt more direct (if that makes sense to anyone).

I am a total evo fan boy. For the cost of cams, injectors, turbo, fuel pump and a tune on e-85 you can make reliable retarded power.

My wife will not let me do it as she feels they are unsafe. They are rated really low in consumer crash test ratings. I told her I would put a cage in it. Still no love.

SO I am left with having to dump tons of money into my WRX to make it fun.

The previous generations aren't safe in crashes. My brother used to have a IX. To keep it short, another driver caused an accident that totaled my brother's car. When I saw his car, it was really bad. Most of the impact happened at the front passenger's side. If he had had a passenger with him at the time of the accident, they would have been seriously hurt.

I totally love Subaru's. If they would have kept up or improved the STi over the GD like aknowledged the fact that there was a problem with the design of the EJ25 and put better pistons in the latest models, I would probably not own a X. But as it is if you want to make any kind of real power with the EJ257 you have to build the shortblock. So for what was out there the X was the best choice for me when replacing my GDB STi. I test drove a IX MR before I bought my X and it was pretty nice as well. The interior was not a good as the X (not like the X is some benz either, lol) and it was smaller as well but some folks would like that too. I love the way the IX's look the most out of all the gens as far as the outside goes though for sure. But the X wins in the interior dept, and the back seat is huuuge on the X, so piling some buddies in the back and heading to tahoe will not be a problem. Not like the non-existent back seat of STi, lol.

They are way too new, probably none unless someone is just driving the crap out of it.

I have 30k on mine if it was my old Sti it would be about the time for a new shortblock (thats around when the first shortblock went).
