The blue wire coming from your subaru wire harness is the power for the antenna. The wire that you connect that to depends on what deck you have...it should say in the wire diagram in the manual. It should be the blue wire.
i though that blue (power ant) was for the motor that pulls up the ant in some cars.... but its not.... its an amp wire that boosts ur stock ant.... so yeah... hook that **** up
The blue wire coming off the subaru harness is the power antenna turn on. The subaru antenna is located in the rear windshield and must be amplified to receive a signal. That is why when you power that wire all a sudden u have good reception. Secondly, to get your lights to dim, there is an orange with a white stripe wire coming off the subaru harness. This wire is your illumination wire. There is an orange with white wire off the kenwood harness as well. Connect these two wires together which will allow the kenwood to dim when u turn your lights on.

However, there is an orange wire coming from the subaru harness - no orange with white stripe. There also is no orange with white wire coming off of the kenwood harness. There are only two wires left coming from it, and they are taped off with labaled plastic, so they are rarely used. One is a mute for in car phone system, and the other is ant cont and is labeled and not used in the diagram. According to the diagram I was looking at for the subaru harness, the orange is infact controller of dimming, but theres nothing to connect it to. The deck really isn't that bright anyway so its OK.
I think I am going to replace my speakers soon too....maybe add a sub... o_O

The only issue with adding speakers is the fact that they all look crazy with bright reds and blues and big x's going through the speaker. Do those go under "covers" or something that are already in the car? I hate the look and its asking for theft.
