I didn't want to hit the deer because I've seen them go right through the windshield and impale driver/passenger, so f' that.

It looks like I did slightly hit the deer with my pass fender, I just don't remember it.

Have you ever almost hit an animal? It's pretty much an instinct reaction to AVOID hitting it if it jumps in your way. There really isn't enough time in most cases to weigh the possibilities

Far more people killed/injured trying to avoid dear than hit the deer.

Damn, I couldn't any luckier to have walked away from that... hitting a tree SUCKS.... ZERO give. Unlike anything Ive ever been involved in.
