I need these for my commuter.
Seems like a lot of cool new ideas are being developed lately for the commuter segment for whatever reasons. I just wish more of them would come to market faster...

That's actually a pretty good idea, but I'll bet that a bunch of douchebag bicyclists in the City would probably shout it down, just like how they're trying to shout down a bicycle speed limit on the GG Bridge and how they're trying to shout down a bicycle helmet law. Not that all bicyclists are asses, but I'm referring to that vocal proportion of their population that are just a bunch of arrogant, self-entitled crybabies that can't decide if they want to be treated like cars or pedestrians (and feel superior to anyone else on the road or sidewalks for some unknown reason).
There are similar things out there already:
Bicycle Light Hokey Spokes Burning Man
Since most bicycle/car accidents are left turning cars not seeing the bicycle, I don't see how something adding your visibility from the side is that useful. I don't think this would have helped in one time I got nailed in the dark. I now use a 35w headlamp and white blinkey light in the front when riding at night.

I have lights and reflective stuff everywhere. I know there are battery powered wheel lights on the market, but I liked these because they are dynamo powered no maintenance.
It's QQ thankyouverymuch

Very interesting...
There are still light laws (in CA at least) for cyclists though. Gotta have a head lamp and tail lamp and this doesn't really satisfy that so it's really kinda just bling.
even with my *****in' lights, I still hate riding at night.
