I need some quick help, ID this part

Hello all,

I need quick varification if this is the underside hoses for a GD STi intercooler.

(Those hoses that attach from the intercooler to the turbo inlet, etc)

I know it's missing the hose clamps, but before I buy it I just want to verify that this is indeed the correct hardware that I need.

Right now I'm running a custom ghetto setup and I want to upgrade to the stock bits.

Thanks guys!

Are you 100% sure? I need a positive ID before I buy it.

The regular WRX IC hose kit is much different then this one... It's black plastic and has a crinkled flex pipe so the air doesn't flow smoothly AT ALL.

Thanks guys! Getting this right now!

Would you guys happen to know what size the bolts that connect this to the IC are?

Also, do I need gaskets for the metal parts that connect to the IC? (The two metal parts that connect). I'm assuming that I do.

yea new gaskets would be nice, notta big deal thou, just an IC haha, not like the downpipe ones. You can use any of the t-clamps from your stock IC, the wrx ones work just fine.

ya they are 14mm but that goes to the turbo OUTLET, just for future reference...those flow so much better than stock tho, you should def notice a crisper throttle and boost response and dont have to worry bout that ish cracking on you

Yeah, turbo OUTLET, my bad... I think I typed that too fast, sorry for the mistake.

Now I need the two gaskets that go to thet Y pipe, as well as a stock STi blow off valve gasket! Once I get these 3 gaskets everything will be done and the boost leak will be gone and I will be able to enjoy my car again! YAY!

The current boost leaks (from the current Y pipe and BOV) are driving me f'ing INSANE! Its hard to even drive it right now because of the insane drop in HP.

I can't wait to get this fixed!

(I started a thread in the classified forum asking for anyone that has the I/C gaskets as well as the BOV gasket, so if anyone knows anyone, I'd really appreciate it!)

What IC are you running?
On the stock STi IC's that Y pipe is a solid piece...but I remember on my '02 WRX I had a similar looking Y on the helix TMIC and it worked great, you can always trim the silicone tubing to make it fit the stocker for your STi, if that's the set up.

Yeah, I've seen two different types of intercooler Y pipes for the stock STi intercooler... I wanted to make sure this was in fact the one for the STi IC since the IC's are the same, but the piping has slightly changed over the years...

If the silicone hose is too long or whatever, I'll just trim it like you said because I think it's just slightly too long to fit into the turbo outlet.

We'll find out tomorrow when I document everything... All I need are those 3 gaskets (Intercooler and BOV gaskets)
