need some really quick help SoCal

A bunch of friends and I are thinking of getting a gift card for a present for another friend. We're thinking a really great steak place somewhere near Fullerton, but doesn't necessarily have to be close.

I'm not the type of person for fancy high-end restaurants, so I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations. From Yelp, I got:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/clearmans-st...sw/query:steak

http://www.yelp.com/biz/dal-rae-restaurant-pico-rivera

Do you guys have any recommendations or comments on the places I listed? I'm gonna go out and get the gift card tonight, so kinda short notice, but any help is welcome.

I've heard Ruth's Chris is pretty good, but overrated, mostly because it has the plate that keeps it warm.

I think he's more into NY strip, how's it over there?

Thanks for the input guys. I might be leaning towards the LA prime, but has anyone heard anything about the ones I've listed? With the traffic due to this weather, it's gonna be a PAIN to get to LA tonight
